Way Above Expectations!!!

Honestly, I love to drive, I love Jeeps and I love the desert! I had it all. I was lucky to be accompanied by David. The perfect guide. Cool, insightful and 100% present.
I took they half day adventure, perfect package for an introduction. Basically, you get your Jeep (impeccable machine), you drive an hour to the desert, deflate the tires and hop you go! Pure pleasure for 2 hours exploring the desert, learning how to navigate and earning confidence. By the end of the expedition, you rock the dunes and have a blast!!!
Absolutely recommend this activity.
My goal is to do the 3 day expedition when I come back to Dubai.
Truly a « once in a lifetime » experience.

Unforgettable experience

Among the many desert safaris offered in Dubai, OFFROAD-ZONE is number one. Certainly not for lazy people or novice drivers. It's an unforgettable experience. David makes this tour very safe with his professionalism and balance. The organization in advance is also very well organized.

Self-drive in the desert

We (me, my wife and our two daughters aged 24 and 17) did a 1 day self-drive trip (booked through Viator). We were picked up right on time (12.10) from our hotel. We were taken to the OffRoad office by David, and then got in our 4WD jeep for the drive out to the desert. We went in convoy with our guide Kevin and one other vehicle, driven by another client (Brigitte). We were provided with walkie talkies so it was very easy to communicate the whole way. The drive to the desert took about an hour on the highway but was very easy. We stopped at a shop to use the toilet and buy anything we'd forgotten for the trip, and then went to the desert where Kevin deflated our tires. We then set off driving in the dunes and we loved it! My 24 year old daughter and I shared the driving and it was challenging and certainly adrenaline inducing to start with but we soon got used to it and it was a lot of fun! The other 4WD vehicle got stuck a couple of times but, rather than sorting it out himself, Kevin coached the driver Brigitte how to get out of it and both she and we learned from that what to do if you got stuck in the sand for a bit. We drove in the desert and sand dunes for about 2 hours in total. The only downside was that one of our party got motion sickness but that wasn't OffRoad Zone's fault.! We then drove back to the city, after making a brief stop to re-inflate the tires, getting back to Dubai about 6 pm. I love going to the desert, but getting a chance to drive in it was definitely more exciting to my mind than alternative desert safaris' on offer such as camel rides (done that) or trips to Bedouin camps. And Kevin was a great guy.

OffRoad were very professional from the time I signed up, We had to provide a copy of passport and driving licence in advance. One thing to be aware of is that you have to pay a security deposit or excess of 3,500 Dirhams in case of damage. Ours was returned in full within the promised 5-7 days.

Amazing trip with offeoad zone

Sorry, english isn't my best language...

The trip was the best thing that we have done in Dubai. We we're here one week and we went one day with offroad zone on a jeep tour. We booked the hotel pickup, which happens perfectly on time and just in front of the hotel. Then we were driven to the office from offroad zone. Here we get our jeep, everything was very simple and thrustworstly. Our driver David was so motivating and gentle. We drove to the desert on our jeep for 1h. Then we go to the desert, let the air out of our jeep tires and then the fun began. We started with lower dunes and get higher time by time. We drove for about 2.5 hours in the desert. When we got stucked, David helped us over the radio to get out of it. It was so much fun!! After that, we drove to a gas station to pump again our tires. We went back after one our of driving and David brings us back to the hotel. It was a completely simple and funny trip. If we come back to Dubai once, we will book the two days trip with offroad zone, it was absolutely amazing! Thank you so much David for this Adventure and this Experience!

În 02.01, we had a perfect dune bashing driving lesson. Our guide, David, it was a very friendly "teacher", in our first 4x4 desert expedition.
The car it was în good condition , verry clean and powerfull.
Verry important, they provide us enough water,for all my family.
It was an exiting experience, but safe. It is another kind of driving.
Good job, David!

Exhilarating Self-drive Experience

Awesome self drive experience with OffRoad Zone. The instructor was very helpful and knew his way around the desert. He guided me to gain confidence in the sand and I was able to master the techniques quickly. We drove on proper sand dunes for more than 3 hours; the experience was just exhilarating.

The car was in great condition and well maintained. They had all necessary safety equipment including winch, though we didn’t need it during the drive.
